A WINDALE man who downloaded child pornography including images of cartoon

characters was jailed for at least seven months yesterday.

Australian Federal Police found 10 pages in a folder in Robin Michael Felton-

Taylor’s Willandra Crescent home in May 2008, magistrate Sharon Holdsworth

said.

The pages had images of cartoon characters from the children’s television

program Digimon in sexual poses or performing sex acts.

Analysis of two hard drives in Felton-Taylor’s home uncovered 635 images of

child pornography involving actual children, but some of the files were

inaccessible to most computer users.

Most of the images were rated as being in the least serious category with

children in sexualised poses.

However, there were some images of adults having sex with children and one

image that was described as sadistic.

Felton-Taylor, 42, was arrested during an international investigation by

Interpol into a child pornography ring.

ANOTHER Hunter man has pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography where some of the images were of cartoon characters in sexual poses or positions.

Police found 10 pages of cartoons depicting characters from the children’s television program Digimon performing sex acts on each other when they searched Robin Michael Felton-Taylor’s home last May, a police statement said.

Australian Federal Police searched the Willandra Crescent, Windale, home after they received information that a computer at the address had been used to download child pornography.

Felton-Taylor, 41, pleaded guilty in Newcastle Local Court yesterday to using the computer to access child pornography and possessing child pornography.

He will be sentenced in September.

An Edgeworth man was fined $1000 and given a good behaviour bond for 12-months in March after pleading guilty to possessing pornographic images of characters from The Simpsons and Pokemon.

The Supreme Court ruled last December that explicit images of cartoon characters can constitute child pornography.

Australian Federal Police found a total of 635 images of child pornography on two hard drives in Felton-Taylor’s computer.
