Man avoids jail over child molesting

A Kununurra man has avoided jail after admitting indecently assaulting two children at his home.

In the Kununurra District Court this week, Christopher Latsarnos pleaded guilty to two counts of indecently dealing with a child.

The court heard the offences occurred when four children, aged seven, eight, nine and 10, visited his home in July last year.

He was sentenced to 12 months in jail, suspended for one year.

A 53-year-old Kununurra man has appeared in court charged with sexually molesting four children who visited his house.

Christopher Latsarnos has been charged with five counts of indecent dealing with a child under 13.

The offences are alleged to have occurred when the girls, aged between seven and 10, came to his house in search of alcohol and cigarettes.

Mr Latsarnos was released on bail until next month.
